Brought my car in and they quoted me $1,500 for the repair (which seemed very reasonable considering the state of my car). When I said I’d just be getting a new car most likely, Mike let me know that I can bring in whatever car I find for an inspection. He also told me I could call and ask about the car to know if it’s good or not, which I really appreciated. Only paid $30 for them to check out the car! Only 3 stars though because when I brought in the car I let Brian know that the button on my gear shifter that is used to actually shift gears is broken off, but I keep it in my driver door and use it to shift gears because it is more difficult otherwise. He made it seem like he took note of that, but when I picked up the car and drove it to work it seemed like they must’ve messed with the shifter somehow because I couldn’t park my car even using the button. I managed to park at work (took 10 min of me wiggling my finger around in the shifter til I was able to move it) but got home and could not shift into reverse or park. I had to remove the shifter and now have to jam a screwdriver to shift gears. I know I am getting a new car so it isn’t a huge loss, but it made using the car a lot harder and more stressful, and it was frustrating especially because I let them know about it ahead of time. My boyfriend got his car fixed here and they did a great job though! I wouldn’t let this one negative part of my experience turn you away, but I wanted to be honest!
My apologies for your trouble with that. We did use the button as advised. But, your shifter is damaged and the button didn’t help much. It was very difficult to use when we did it too.
